Razom, a non-profit focused on providing humanitarian war relief for Ukraine, and Members of the Pro Bono Committee of the Privately Held Business Forum, are teaming up for a fundraising event focused on shining a spotlight on Russia’s continued war against Ukraine. Razom has provided more than 200 tons of tactical medicine, hospital supplies, and medicines to regions most affected by Russia’s inhumane invasion of Ukraine. Currently, Russia is destroying Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, depriving millions of people of heat, light, and clean water. Thus, donated funds will be used towards much-needed power banks, wood-burning furnaces, and providing food to the people in the de-occupied areas. The cost of the furnace is $300 and $150 feeds one person for one month. Donations can be made here.

Background

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. Russia’s brutal war has caused at least 5,000 civilian deaths. At least seven million people fled to other countries, including the United States. While Russia’s brutal war no longer makes the headlines, Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine by indiscriminately launching rockets targeting civilian infrastructure such as shopping malls, universities, and churches. To this day, there are cities that are bombed every day and every day there are civilian casualties.

Razom For Ukraine

Razom, which means “together” in Ukrainian, believes deeply in the enormous potential of dedicated volunteers around the world united by a single goal: to unlock the potential of Ukraine. Razom works towards that mission by creating spaces where people meet, partner and do. Razom was born out of the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 when millions of people worked together and risked their lives to build a pathway to a better future for Ukraine. Its mission is to unlock Ukraine’s potential and build toward a more prosperous and democratic Ukraine.

Today, Razom Emergency Response project is providing urgent help in the face of an extreme situation: the sovereign nation of Ukraine is forced to deal with a brutal invasion. Razom is responding by working with volunteers on the ground and partner organizations to provide critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve. Tactical medical equipment and hospital supplies are already in the hands of the people who are saving lives. More is on the way nearly every day. We are also evacuating children with disabilities and their families to safety, and advocating on behalf of Ukraine. More at www.razomforukraine.org/razom-emergency-response/
